I think i posted this in the wrong thread so im reposting this now here.... Well will a water pan work on a vertical smoker if i have a sheet over the pan seperated from the cooking chamber to eliminate the need for tunning plates....work?there is a space between the inside wall so smoke can enter at holes in the top and exit out of the smoke stack. Will the water pan still work that way?

Hello.  Not enough info.  We need more than that to offer advice.  A vertical smoker does not "NEED" a water pan depending on XYZ.  If it is 3' circumference and 10' tall a water pan may not be needed.  Just teasin a bit but we do need some info buddy.  Pictures and drawings help.  Shoot us the info and I am sure you will get some help.  Keep Smokin!
