How are your MES's holding up after continuous use?

For $330 that I spent on mine, I'm a little underwhelmed with the quality of this thing.

After I put it together, I noticed that the whole thing felt slightly rickety for the price paid. Two months after owning it, the wheels now squeal whenever I move it (stored in the garage under a cover all of the time). I just fired it up today, the light bulb is already burned out / not working on it. It probably has under 10 smokes on it.

I also got mine with a bad door seal. I emailed Masterbuilt, they told me it was ok. I checked on here and found out it wasn't. Emailed them back, they shipped me one.. this was over a month ago, no seal in the mail. I'm starting to not only doubt their product, but how much they stand behind it as well.

So, have yours held up well, or should I consider ditching this thing now before it completely crumbles on me?

Thanks

had mine for almost 3 years . one of the older model 40's. Did have to do the wiring fix after 15 months but other than that it has served me well.

After 3 years of regular use it is starting to rust a bit around the bottom edges on the outside ,but still does a fine job of smoking . Will be using it for the next 3 days.

I don't try to keep it clean , Just clean the racks and the glass so the smoke and grease covered the light a long time ago.

The window was a nice thing when it and i were new smokers so i could marvel at what it and i were accomplishing. Same w/ the light. Now it really serves no purpose in my smoking.

If i could get a MES 40" w/ an accurate thermo and controller and solid door i would buy it in a heart beat.

for the price it is a great smoker. Not going to be as sturdy as something thicker or something welded. It does what it is designed to do and does it well.

I think you will find that for the most part they hold up very well. I had one of the older ones for a couple of years & sold it to a friend a couple of years ago & it's still smoking away. As a matter of fact I missed it so much I bought a new model about 6 months ago.

Great product for the money...i love mine and use it often. I'm going to add a 40 in the near future so my 30 doesn't get lonely....lol

Like anything, it's got it's quirks, but overall I'm very happy with mine.  It's been getting regular workouts a few times a week for almost a year now.

Mine is tight as a drum and been sitting out on the porch for a month...No problems so far, fingers crossed!...JJ
