Brisket today

  1. Last one was a success, trying another today. Injected brisket this time just to try it. Beef broth with a little rub added. It was my first time injecting and made a little bit of a mess at the beginning but when I got familiar with it things were fine.

  7. Hope it goes well for you. Did you put rub on the outside also? Or just let the injection flavor the outside?
     
  8. I put rub on the outside and let it sit over night. Injected just before I put it on. 
     
  9. 3 hours in. Temp at 147.

    So how did you make out? You was off to a good start.
     
  12. It was great. I didn't get any finished pictures because I took it to a party which I was running late for. It only lasted about 15 minutes. Everyone liked it.

    Will you post some pics of the sliced brisket. Congrats on making the marque board on the site.
     
  15. How long did you smoke it? Did you wrap it?
     
  16. I smoked it for approximately 6 hours. Did not need to wrap since it was only a 6lb brisket.
