I am preparing an evening of brisket smoking....the wife and kids are out of town....beer and chips have been purchased. I've attached pics (sorry for the poor quality....my wife has the camera) of the brisket (5.5 lbs). I've applied Jeff's rub and plan on starting the smoking about 10pm tonight. By morning I should have some more pics for you. I plan to mop with apple cider. I'm using a mix of oak and apple wood to smoke the meat. Keep checking back. Wish me luck!! I've learned a lot since I killed my first brisket!
