Good afternoon....I have a question I hope someone can answer. I've the got the Trailmaster with offset firebox. I've read almost every single thread on here over the last few years and have completed some of the mods. Finally got my cooker going like I want but there is one thing still causing a problem. When I'm done cooking and close down the stack and the box damper, my coals do not go "out" for quite some time. I'm talking like hours after I'm done cooking, the coals are still warm if not hot. I always fear putting my cover on while the box is still hot....any suggestions? I cook with the expanded metal basket everyone recommends. Thanks in advance for any help!!

Good afternoon and welcome to the forum, from a pretty nice day here in East Texas. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.
