Hello,
new guy here (both to the forum and smoking in general). I recently picked up a new to me Brinkmann Electric. Its missing the lava rocks out of the bottom but otherwise in really good shape; it has a new heating element and grills are fairly clean along with the inside.
My question was one of wondering if I could use charcoal along with whatever lava rocks and stuff got stuffed into the bottom of the smoker ? is there any reason why I couldn't add some charcoal lump in with the lava rocks? Im just working out on how to get some more flavour and such along with whatever wood I choose to put in.
Anyway - thanks in advance for your advice and information.
