My wife bought me this for our anniversary and I seasoned it up and have used it twice...

A couple of things I have noticed...

1.  The tempature gauge seems to run cold

2.  I can maintain the heat fairly well (on the tempature guage that runs cold) but I cannot get it above 200 hundred on that gauge

Questions I have...

What is the best stand alone tempature guage I can get?

Are there any mod's I can make for better airflow - assuming that is the best way to raise the temp if I need it?

The best temp gauge is digital, with a wired probe.

Walmart has them for around $20.

You need one for the chamber temp & one for the meat temp.

Or you can get a Maverick 732 with dual probes for $59.

If you get it from A-MAZE-N Products you get free shipping too, and the owner is a member here.

If you have leaks in the smoker they can be sealed with high temp silicone or oven rope around the door.
