Brined chicken wings, and Bacon wrapped Drum sticks - w/q-view

Tossed some chicken wings, and a couple drum sticks I cut off a chicken that went into a stock I am doing today. Made a basic brine(kosher salt, brown sugar, rosemary, garlic powder, hot sauce, and water), and am brining the chicken parts now.

Wings will get rubbed with my rub, and the drum sticks wil get rubbed, & wrapped in bacon.

I am also doing 5# of Texas style hot links today as well as the cherry bombs, and ABT's on the other thread. Alot of good food with the first items coming of the smoker for the start of the Alabama game.

good one, I guess Ill call it the SEC championship game to reamain neutral(Alabama was one of the colleges i got accepted to back in the day, chose Oklahoma though).

should be firing up the smoker soon(lump and a mix of some woods), and the first items to go on around 1:00 p.m. central time.

So far so good there Jim. I like the brine and you'll be grilling for the gators at least for us in here right. You can pull for anyone you like to. It takes fans from boths sides to make it a good time for all.

glazed (1) leg with some thai bbq sauce while it was resting. brined leg meat was very tender, and was excellent. Wings were good as well.
