Breakfast Sausage or Bacon flavored Jerky

Morning Everyone,

Looking to make either a Breakfast Sausage or a bacon flavored jerky to take backpacking.

Does anyone have a recipe for such or ever attempted it? I could add some bacon bits to the ground beef but not sure what other spices I could add to accompany a bacon flavored jerky. Maybe maple of some sort?

Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Smitty.........you brought up an idea that I thought about last summer but never did anything with it. Curley's makes a bacon seasoning for ground meat. I'm told that it makes a great bacon.

Now, my idea was to use this seasoning and mix up a batch or two of different meat blends.....then using my jerky shooter, pump out some jerky strips and maybe even some skinless snack sticks. Maybe that is an idea for you to try.
