Brand New Smoker!

Our names are Cruz & Bethany and we will be getting our first smoker very soon (my husband's birthday on Oct 22 - IF he doesn't jump the gun and get it before me lol). We live in southeast Texas, we are in our 40's and have two teen boys.

He's been a BBQ'er forever, mostly brisket, chicken, sausage and ribs. He has 2 pits, one he made from scratch in his high school welding class which he is anxious to add a fire box to if when we find someone to do it.  

He's the cooker and I'm the researcher, and that's what led me to this great site!

Bethany and Cruz, welcome to SMF!  Glad you are here.  And thanks for sharing the pic of your hubby's pit.  What a great HS project that has obviously stood the test of time.  Best of luck finding the firebox.
