Hello everyone,

Just a few words of introduction:

I have been driving my wife crazy with the smoking meat since last Summer. With the cold weather approaching I finally pulled the trigger on a Masterbuilt 30 in propane unit. I have been reading reviews on different models and this looked to be the easiest for beginners. I am happy to be here and look forward to making new friends and sharing information.

I plan on taking the eCourse to get a better handle on this.

More Later.

Welcome to SMF glad you can join us.  We are big on Pics and love to help everyone out.  Remember the only question that is dumb is one not asked.  You will not find a friendlier place to talk Que on the web.

Welcome Bakerman!  Good luck on the new smoker.

As you can already see, loks of friendly people, with a wealth of knowledge, and experience from across the globe.  Take advantage of all of it, and ENJOY!

Very warm welcome. Thanks. I live in Columbia , between Charm City and D.C. Lived in Maryland for most of my 55 years.

I am excited about this new interest, but I have so many questions about the smoker I got and how to do it correctly. I will probably drive you all nuts with my questions!

I have a myriad of hobbies, most of them bad for me. Been married for 30 plus years to a long suffering BMU ( BEHAVIOR  MODIFICATION UNIT ). Have 2 kids in their 20's. Love food and spirts.

Nothing is better than a fine meal and a glass of single malt IMO.

All the best.

Welcome! Lots of great people here with tons of knowledge that will have you feeling like a pro on your new smoker in no time. Not a gas man myself but there are plenty of people who are that can answer all of the questions you have (don't worry we like questions). Good luck with your new addiction.

Welcome Bakerman!

I'm also in Columbia, so you're not alone in smoking here in suburbia.  I'll keep my eyes peeled for that thin blue smoke!
