Well It finally quit raining and the suns out....... Its gorgeous out and time to get back to the build... Went to harbor freight and bought the 60 dollar metal cutting circular saw with doubts it would do the job.... I was right... I cut about 24 inches and the motor started to smoke.... The saw has no a$$ though the blade did cut but moved like a snail through 1/4 inch plate. So  back to HF to return it and on to my new tool on order from northern tool... A Milwaukee Model# 6370-21 metal cutting circular saw....... I stopped screwing around and bought it.. $280... Wish I got it today but they are not in stock so it will take 3 to 5 business days so it puts me back another week on the build

yep....... using the HF saw I had to wear ear plugs. I also had to put gloves on...Talk about metal shavings... I had to put my magnifiers on and pull about 8 metal splinters out of my hands.....uhg

At it some more today.... I am in awe with the Milwaukee circular saw... It does one great job cutting steel. Its going to pay for itself in the long run. Now I don't have to get the supply house or should I say thieves to cut steel.......

That's one super clean cut

I have some tweaking to do on the doors to get them to open easily. One side is hard to raise. I will have to cut one of the hinge weld to ease some tension on the door and try to reposition it. The doors mate with the tank fairly well. I was expecting worse as I cut 24 inches of this tank out and re welded it back together........

I thought about installing the smoke stack but I I don't want to get too ahead of myself...... I'll get the doors framed and finished then it will be break time till I get back from the south Florida gathering......

Thanks for looking

Joe

Joe things are looking great, can't wait to see the finished product!! Last year u really bailed me out with my cooker, and it's been working great since! Now it's time for me to repay the favor!! U said u needed a plasma cutter right?? Bc I have a brand new one being shipped as I type. If u need it, I can run up week after Thanksgiving, I'm off all week.

Thanks, Going to get back started on the build. I want it finished by new years. at least the smoker end. I'll be putting the saw to work. will be cutting a 6'x10' 1/4 plate steel
