Thanks for looking

You're off to a great start Joe,

I don't know if your considering the double doors with the slide out racks but I'm glad I did it on my build.

It took more work and $$$ but it really paid off in the long run.

Keep it up my friend, Can't wait to see it putting out some TBS

I am doing the double doors like yours.... 1 door on each side. The smoker doesn't need to be placed in the right direction for access to smoke. Does it have any other benefits I cant see....

Need some help with your trailer build. did you just bend the back of the trailer in and weld in the cross members?

Yes I did Joe, I just notched a V in the top and bottom of the Channel Iron and used a Come-along to pull the two sides together until

I got my desired with.

Yeah yeah.. I'll be getting to it shortly... I'm going to give raptors rig a good once over for some measurements when I get down to Jerry's place. I like what he did with the two doors, one on each side.... Been looking for a trailer...at minimal cost but its not working out...Looks like I am going to have to build one....

Joe

Well I bet all of you are stuffed eating popcorn for the last 2 yrs waiting for me to finish my smoker project. Made some progress and picked up some matirial and started the trailer. I have the frame fabbed and will be getting the 3500 lb axle hopefully next week.......

Here are some pics of my progress

4 inch c channel iron

Went to my buddys shop. Needed a flat level floor......

Picked up a 3 inch square X1/4 thick tube for 60 bucks..... Pretty stout trailer tongue....

Thats all for now...... Thanks for looking and I hope to have this smoker finished by the end of the year

Joe

Got some more work done to the trailer today..... it is mobile now...... but I'm not... Just turned 50 the other day sept 21st and starting to feel it..... Sore, tired and hungry.....LOL

took 10 inches out of the axle and welded back together

root, cap and filet on each side

welded the leaf spring brackets on and assemble the axle hardware

flipped it right side up and welded the coupler on

she's looking just right

going to put a coat of paint on it tomorrow to protect the metal . time for some aleve and hit the sack..

Nice work Joe. You can leave it home for the FL gathering. I need you to bring the camper. I'm like you to old to sleep on the ground anymore!

ONLY 50 ? your still a young buck...:th_blowing-out-candles-emoticon:

rigs looking good... dunno how much you paid for somebody to weld that for ya.. but I would say you got your moneys worth... looking good bub

Got a little bit more done... installed the trailer Jack.. overkill but I like it.. 3500 lb drop lift.. dont have to crank my arm off.....

installed the cross members.. The tank will set on them

A lite coat of rustolium semi gloss for now

Thanks for looking

Very nice trailer Joe.....    I noticed you are taking your time to get this build "just right".....    That's the way to do it...
