Just a quick question, i was watching bbq pitmasters a few weeks ago and noticed one of the cooks added bbq sauce before wrapping his butt in foil and returning to the smoker.

Has anyone tried this? Ive never seen bbq sauce added during the wrapping stage.
I was thinking about trying it this weekend, i have to do a quick cook (starting on smoker finishing in oven) but im afraid in the oven at 300 would burn the sauce up, even though it will be wrapped. Thanks for any feedback.

I don't think your sauce will burn. Wrapping will keep the sauce in a moist environment and should keep the sauce from burning in you. Give it a shot and take some pics to show how it turned out
