At the end every school year I pack up the camp rig and take my boys and a few of their friends camping. This year the end of the school year landed on Father's Day weekend so the friends were all busy. So this year it's just dad and the boys. All packed up. Mini-WSM and a good supply of fuel and wood packed. Two meaty tri tips swimming in worchestershire. A dozen or so wings. Mine injected with Scarbelly's fav. The boys dusted with SPOG. We dry camp so try and prep as much as possible before heading out! Got taters and corn. Gonna be some good meals! So here's a few photos to hold ya all over until we get back in a few.

You can never have too many boats!

    Looks tasty!

    Some like them hot!

    Some like them not!

Our cooking ensemble minus the cast iron that's packed away in the camper. That's all we'll use unless someone gets a wild hair to sharpen a stick and roast a piece of meat over the fire.

Outta here!!! See ya all in a week!

What a great way to get out with the boys! Hope ya have a great time, but I know ya will.

All those boats there has got to be some rods in there somewhere. <closes eyes and act like a vision has been seen> I see fish in your future!

    Be safe.

My youngest told me there was no need to bring food as he was going to "catch"'us all we would need.

Hence the wings, tri tip, hot dogs, bacon, eggs, etc. packed in the cooler!

    Looks like you're ready, Case!!!

Have a Great time & catch a mess of fish!!

Your boats remind me of this past Sunday, when my Son took his wife fishing:

They have a 26' Trophy Pro with Twin 150 Mercs, a Bassboat with Jet motor, a 12' row boat, two Kayaks, and two of those little Pontoon type Bass Hunters with built in electric foot controlled motors.

However (Here's the funny part), they had to rent a boat at the place they went fishing, because the only way you can use your own boat is if you take it there a week before, and leave it out of water so they know it doesn't have any unwanted creatures attached to it.

Okay here's a quick update and the photos. Four great days. We experienced sun, rain, snow, dirt, mud, water, fish slime, blood, guts. You know guys things! Four great days of boating, Geocaching, fishing, campfires, hiking, mud baths, swimming, and great food.

We christened my oldest sons new boat, the Quackernuat.

And my youngest became the master of Blue Canoe (which my oldest has been paddling since he was 3).

As he soon learned the bilge pump has more than one use

Snow dog is getting old and doesn't really like being in the boat anymore. It's hard for him to get in and out and hard for him to lay down. Oly the water mutt likes being in the boat, and in the water.

We took a bit of a break for lunch day one and fired up the twig burner and cooked up some Nathan's.

Then we went fishing and caught some dinner.

Little garlic, brown sugar, ginger into the mini!

Not wanting to waste the fire I threw on the wings I pre-marinated so we'd have them
For snacking the next several days.

Okay day two we spent a good portion of the day under cover. We had rain, snow and finally in the after some sun. So we burnt lodge pole, played games and cooked food. Once the sun came out we went Geocaching .
