I was at Menards the other day and saw this there - http://bigsteelkeg.com/

Looked very well made and good competition to the Kamando and Big Green Egg for the cost. Menards have them for $599. Any members here own one?

I am the proud owner of a Bubba Keg. Best grill / smoker I ever owned. Retains heat extremely well, very well made, uses minimal lump. Everything I have cooked on the KEG was awesome.

Visit http://www.bubbakeg.com/ and you will see everyone on the site is very well satisfied with their keg.

I would never own a BGE due to the cost and cracking problems. All of their accessories work on the KEG.

I just ordered one. Pick-up Wednesday. Yes they are wonderful cookers, I've been researching Kamado/Tandori style cookers for a while. The Keg is by far the most bang for the buck, and I've spoken to people who said they can easily do low and slow and sear at temps in excess of 1000*.

Mossy, if you have a Home Depot in your area, they are selling out of the Bubba Kegs. Got mine here in SC for $299.00. Being replaced by the Big Steel Keg. Not a lot of diff between the two.
