I have been looking at the BGE to replace my 3 Burner rusted out Charbroil RED and rusted out Charbroil SRG. When you were shopping for your BGE, what made you decide on what size to purchase? Thank you for the info. John.

I think with the BGE, the most important thing is to buy the size that fits your budget. They can get pretty pricey.

I've smoked on the XL BGE, and I could only comfortably fit about four 6-8 lb chickens on the grate. I basically just made a plus sign.

The BGE website says that you can fit 11 whole chickens on the grate, but I just don't see how that is possible. Unless you buy some stands that will hold the chicken vertically.
