Well it has been a crazy couple of weeks starting on my birthday (4/24) till now. I have finally gotten time to sit at a computer to put what little pictures (SORRY!) I could take. Started prepping and cooking on 4/29 at 11:00 am till 5:00 am the next day, took a nap, then woke up finally at 10:00am on 4/30 to finish prepping, cooking and enjoying my party. On with the limited show, did I already apologize for not taking enough Q-View.

Black Pepper

Garlic Powder

Trimmed off the skin and scored the fat cap as I always do (saved the skin to cook on top of the pork). Light rub for the night then another rub before cooking in the morning. Sorry only got a picture of one of the shoulders.

The next day (4/29) got the smoker going and spent this whole day prepping ABT's, Moinks, Fattys, Sweet Pork cups I saw another guy make on this site, and of course drinking beer. Here is what I got from the fatty process.

Made one more but failed to get a picture, I guess that's what happens when your using your phone and working alone. The 3rd one is pizza sauce, pepperoni, and mozzarella.

Some ABT's being made. I normally split in 1/2, fill, then wrap back together but with the amount of stuff I was doing decided to just go 1/2 a JAP per ABT. Of course since I first tried ABT's with Habs I got stuck so I had to make those again, not many though, people really can't handle them, I LOVE THEM! A buddy of mine stopped by around 1am and wanted to help so I sat back for a little bit. He looks like he's making sushi.

Pork out of the smoker after 14 1/2 hours, no foil, great bark, bone pulled on me while I was getting one out with the help of my friend but we didn't drop the goods. After letting it rest for an hour I looked at the clock and realized it was 5am and I should take a power nap, party starts at 1:30, no time pull so I wrapped it up and put it in the fridge and will pull it in the morning.

Well the day was here and I woke up late from staying up all night so the pictures are few and far and I couldn't believe I didn't get a $$ shot or even after pulling. Most of the time my phone was the one playing the music so here is the rest. I need to get a new camera.

The one with the bacon coming apart has the pizza sauce in it, I guess it tried to escape.

A baker friend brought some of her killer cupcakes. 2 kinds of Peanut butter and chocolate, coconut and chocolate, coconut and cream, and chocolate chip cheesecake.

Some moinks and pork cups (smoked sausage wrapped in bacon to form a cup filled with brown sugar chipotle powder mixture and smoked) They are really good.

Other things missing from the pictures are the ABT's (they rarely make it) 2 batches of Dutch's beans, one with pineapple one with peaches. 2 Gallons of chili made with beef and some of the pulled pork. Friends brought pasta salad and stuff like that also. I had burgers and dogs but they were never needed. We also had beer pong, cornhole, horse shoes, and ladder golf or toss? Again I am sorry I didn't get the money shot or 1/2 the other Q-View I should have. The wife was having fun with the people & I was having fun cooking plus my phone was the music source most of the time which until I get some money is also my camera.

There will be more threads to some in the future since it's getting warm out. Now I am off to create a recipe for a local restaurant. At least they are paying me!

Twig, I'd help you maintain the smoker, eat, drink beer and serve!!! Nice party!!! Everything looks awesome!!!

BTW, I'm having a Welcome to Summer  BBQ Friday night, everyone's welcomed!!! I didn't mean to hijak the thread!!

Thanks for all of the kind words. It was definitely a blast. Everyone was blown away by the amount of food I made and my grandmother's neighbor ended up booking me to cook for their grandsons graduation. I love it when people smell the food and start looking over fences. Those 2 days of cooking was my 2nd & 3rd time using the WSM 22.5 and I have to say I am pretty glad I bought it, too bad they don't make a 45. More parties to come.....

Cooking for my own party is tough but I like my food the best so it always seems to work out that way. Even if I go to someone else's party I end up manning the grill or smoker, I can't stay away from it, plus I like learning other people's tricks and sharing my own. My wife always laughs when we go to a cookout I end up working the grill and she says it looks like I am teaching a class because all of the other men are watching and asking questions while the girls are telling her how lucky she is. What can I say, I love to cook!

Scarbelly - Not running for office (can't stand politics or over controlling government) but maybe I should run under the Pork Party!
 
Thanks a lot everyone! I can't wait for the next party. I hate being busy every weekend, I just want to fire up the smoker and drink some cold beers.

That was one brilliant post!  No need for more pics the ones you showed were great and I can imagine the missed pic opportunities were only because they looked and tasted so good that there was no time to snap a pic!

Once again great post and even better work with the smoke.  Oh Happy belated birthday as well.
