Beginer level....

    Getting out the electric smoker for the 1st time.  Gave it to him for a Christmas present.... just got brave enough to try it out.  Because his brother bought a big brisket for our maiden voyage.  Gonna stick with the traditional rub SPOG.  Will def be on this forum alot to get great ideas from experienced smokers/grillers.  also have an infrared turkey fryer.  LOVE IT!!!!  When I can talk him into getting it out.  We live in South Central Ohio.  love smoked meats cant wait to smoke our own.  and try some veggies too!  Lori and Kirk.
  2. Welcome to the group. Nice to here a couple smoking meats together. Good luck with the Brisket. Not sure what kind of wood you are using but Cherry gives and good flavor to beef if you want to change from the normal Hickory.
