Hello everyone. Grizzly here, from Western Pennsylvania. Been lurking around on the forum here for a bit while shopping for my first smoker. I've done plenty of grilling on charcoal and over a wood fire, been wanting to smoke for a long time though. Bought a masterbuilt GS40 over the weekend. Smoked a pork loin for my first go and it turned out pretty good. 225 for about 4 1/2 to five hours. Pulled it out at 165 IT and let it rest up to 170. Did a basic rub and used 50/50 pecan and Apple chips. Turned out pretty dang good for my first go.
