It's been awhile since I've posted here.  I enjoyed smoking but I didn't do it often as it was a bit of a PITA with my cheap, small Smoke N Grill Brinkman.  I found that the temperature was very hard to control.  It would run away from me and get really hot, or get really low and burn out.  It took a lot of constant attention and stoking to keep it running right.

I've been using the heck out of our gas grill; a Weber my wife bought a year or two before we met (5 years ago), and it's finally getting tired and we considered replacing it.  We went ot Home Depot to purchase a new Weber gas grill after researching and picking a specific grill.  Plans went down the tubes though...

This is what came home with us:

So far I've grilled filet, salmon, and chicken on it; but plans are to be smoking low and slow with it soon.  My wife loves the flavor of the food that's come off of it so far.  She's not going to like the credit card bill for the replacement Maverick probes and plate setter though! LOL

Wish me luck and expect to see me around here more often asking annoying questions!

I like your new egg.    Weber gas grills can be rebuilt, doing it yourself, for about $120.00.     You can replace the burner tubes and grates and get another 5 to 10 years use out of it.

That's the plan!  I'm going to disassemble, clean, repair/replace pieces, and put that grill back together like new!
