It's been a while since I played here but by no means have yellow jackets been able to setup camp in the smoker. Now that I'm half broken (my [insert expletive here] boss was happy to have me pull 4pcs. 3/0 copper wire through 2" conduit by hand) I've pulled something apart in my shoulder and am limited to 10# lifting until.....

Always loved beef ribs (anyone remember when KFC sold them about a zillion years ago) and scratching my head for dinner at the store, the ribs were whispering in my ear ;-)

Party on

Pak-O-Ribs and my fave rub

Marinating for a few hours before I try the 3-2-1 method.

Well, the ribs were not that great. No fault of smoking or spice rub but it was the minimal amount of meat from grocery store ribs. In the future, I'll buy from a butcher that can carve out what I want of just buy a full rib roast and carve it the way I like.

Results after smoking 3-2-1 method. Should have noticed how little meat was on ribs to begin with.

Pics a little out of order, this is the pan I did the 2 hours of steaming in Apple Juice.

Well, at least we had yummy beverages from the garden. What cukes we miss for the pickle crock end up in Cucumber salad or my new fave hot weather beverage. Cucumber Cooler! In a regular blender, hand full of ice, 1/2 cup sugar, 2 or 3 limes with skin cut off then fill blender with peeled and sliced cukes. As Mr. Food would say..... It's So Good :-)

You're right Jetman----It's tough getting Beef Rib Bones with meat on. Beef Ribs are my favorite.

The best way is to buy Choice Standing Rib Roast. Then cut the bone section off, leaving as much meat on the bones as you want.

The second best way is to get the butcher to do it, after telling him how much meat to leave on the bones.

Then after the Ribs are cut off, turn the rest of the roast into Boneless Prime Rib or Boneless Ribeye Steaks.

I do exactly that every Christmas, when Prime Rib goes on it's best sale of the year.

Sounds like a Great Drink!!

Great looking meal and thanks for the nice qview, Jetman.

I have pretty well given up on getting meaty beef ribs here. However, they sell short ribs with more meat on them and they do up great using the 3-2-1 method.
