Question on the wood...could you possibly have used wood from a different tree??? or possibly wood that was not aged the same?

The only reason I say (and the experts can educate me more on the wood) but I ran out of wood (I know I know...rookie mistake) and bought some apple wood in a bag...and I just got no flavor out of the store bought wood...

The Ribs look great though!!!! I bet they tasted wonderful! Thanks for sharing!
 
The wood came from a pile that hubby had. No idea if it came from a different tree or aged the same.
 
nice job dawn and great job with the comparison... i think it confirms what most already know. not taking nothing from the elecs or gassers as they still put out awesome product. but side by side... not quite the same. and just to show i am not biased on this, i have an mes and a gosm.
