Sure wish I still had my welder I would build me a stick burner, it's an experience in smoking I have never had. I have a cousin in Tennessee that has one with revolveing shelfs. He owns a company and uses it for employe parties. Those ribs look great, beef back ribs are my favorite. Around here I can only find bones with scraps of meat on them for $4.00 a pound.
Randy,
Randy

Thanks for the kind words.  I searched hi and low for a good builder that was in my budget. Funny thing was the guy I found lives 10 miles away from me.  Wonderful experience building this thing. Don is a real philosopher that chose to weld for a living.  I made a good friend and got a great smoker.  Cant beat it. b

Oh boy! Those are a thing of beauty! I love beef ribs and those looked like they had a nice amount of meat on them! Great cook!
You know... You're exactly right.  I had to sift through a lot of ribs to find some with a little beef on the bone.  They strip those babies for hamburger!   Thanks for the complement.b

Great looking ribs my friend, when I lived in Carson City, we had great ribs out there and then they transferred me to Alabama and all you get here is bones @ 4.00 @ #. I got a choice rib roast in Dec and had the bones cut with some meat on them and they were great.

Enjoy and happy smoking and Happy New Year.
Thanks Catfish!  Happy New Year to you as well my friend. b

I hate to follow behind Case, shessh! BUT I missed this completely.

Methinks you are grasping the finer points of a firebreather. That smoke ring is sweet! Nice looking ribs.

Great Job!

I'll tell you when you know you've mastered it, you get up one morning, go out and fire her up, get a cup of coffee and go sit next to the fire box and realize you weren't planning to smoke anything and it is still great just to be there. LOL

Nice looking ribs.

So, what HASN'T been cooked on the stick burner yet?

What terrific looking ribs, Brian.

I don't know much about US College Football but it seems to me that Kevin said something about the inferiority of the Texas team.

Point for making great ribs while grieving.

This ain't european soccer, US football!!  We tailgate instead, only fighting is for another plate of food.
Har! Now you are making me jealous. There is practically no tailgating in Canada. The strict enforcement of licensing and health codes make it a non starter. I figure that the fighting in Canadian hockey games comes from the lack of tailgating.

My friend... The noble brisket has yet to kiss the grate.  I was going to do that this last weekend.  I actually dug a PRIME out of the bin at HEB.  Got it home and all excited.  Mrs BD announces that I'll be cooking fajitas for one of the kids birthdays dinner....  And I hate to say this... I put that prim brisket in the freezer.  GASP....

I want to cook it this weekend.   I see cold rain coming our way on Saturday.  So... The rig will keep us warm if you'll hold the umbrella for me!  LMAO.

And I thought you and I were pals...

Yeah! Disco don't be stirring the pot here! You are trying to start a dog fight and I don't have a dog!
What?  You worried about job security or something?

Bwaaaa haaaaaaaaaa haaaaaaaaa!

Har! Come to Canada and I'll show you the Canadian game. Way more exciting.
Drinking on an ice covered lake shoving a hunk of round granite down an alleyway is not a sport.    It's just a reason to drink outside. ..not that I am apposed to drinkin outside...
