29 years ago, here in the Florida panhandle, I met my future wife and on our first date I took her to a Bbq joint.  She either likes this stuff or she don't.  Had no idea how she'd react.   Well, I can say for sure that Bbq got us off on the right foot together.  We went from "Bbq to wedding bells" and have been enjoying smoked meats together ever since.  Now that our two boys are grown and gone its just the two of us again so I got the idea of becoming a real honest to goodness "smoker" and not just a "eater".  Thought I'd start off small with a Char Broil gas fired vertical smoker with two doors.  I almost got the Oklahoma Joe's Highland model but I'm not ready for that one just yet since it's just the two of us.  I found a pirated copy of Jeffs recipes (I emailed him about it) and liked it so much I bought them from Jeff online and even bought his book while I was at it that very afternoon.  So, here I am with an open mind about what works or not.

I think this smokin' thing might be the best hobby I've ever started
