Is it unheard of to put a rub on your BBB after the cure and before you smoke it ?

I just took mine out of the cure after 9 days and tried some and it wasn't salty at all, had a kinda sweet peppery taste. I thought it needed some more seasoning.. Was going to cold smoke it after drying time was up. Would it be alright to mix up a rub and rub it before I put it on to smoke ?

Yes! Personally we just coat it with cracked black pepper. You can use whatever your taste buds desire.

Al is right you can apply a rub or whatever type of seasoning you want on it play around until you create the right mix for your tastes. I suggest writing down what you use each time so when you get it just right your able to repeat it
