Hello all,

Just joined SMF after lurking for quite a while.  I just ordered my MES 30" and my AMPS 5x8 and am anxiously awaiting their arrival early next week.  I was born and raised in North Alabama with Big Bob Gibson's just down the road from me (my grandmother worked there for a long time back in the 60's and 70's and was the one who made their pies; my uncle used to discreetly pass us a brown paper bag full of pull of pork out the back door on Saturday morning).  I can't not mention Whitt's and Greenbrier as big influences also :).  I now live in St. Pete Beach, FL, just a stone's throw from the Gulf of Mexico where I enjoy year around smoking weather.

I look forward to reading and participating in this great forum!

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
because their are so many different ways to make great Q...
Happy smoken.
