What's up!?!  Matt here from Los Angeles area.  I have been smoking off and on for years and got away from it because I got tired of chasing the temp around on my charcoal brinkman smoke n grill.  Don't get me wrong, I loved the results, but I hated the constant tending.  Anyhow, I was in Hawai'i and my buddy had a cookmaster electric dealio and I liked the results and I loved the ease.  I wasn't about to spend that kind of cash and didn't really want electric so I got my arse online and purchased me a Masterbuilt Propane Smoker which I believe in this forum is called a MPS.  It was so easy to start this thing up.  I am excited about it and I now have 2 whole birds on there waiting to get eaten.  And then I'm going surfing.  I didn't realize how much I missed the smell of a smoker full of chickens.

Welcome to the board! I'm close to finishing some splits over maple.

No surfing here, though - it's dry! The rivers are low and stony.
