I actually have posted some of my food on this site and been a member for a long time. I have been mainly lurking now for the last couple years but am looking to get a new smoker and figured better head back here for more advice. Little update on what has happened since I last posted. My wife and I had a bouncing baby boy last year and he is not a year and a half old. He is growing like a week and my true pride and joy as well as my heart. We are buying a home and just waiting on the closing to finish now so plan to have a big smoke out to break in the home right. The joy of selling our old home is yet to come. I own two little chiefs one electric and one charcoal and a charbroil side box wood smoker. I have read a lot on the pellet smokers and have had meat from them and smoked a chicken on one and enjoyed it very much. My question is what one would you go with. I hear traegers are nice but little pricey. Anyway good to be back and hope to see more.

Welcome back! I own a Rec Tec pellet smoker and really love it. There are a number of good brands out there, but they are a bit pricey.
