Last weekend I smoked some baby back ribs.  And now I'm finally getting around to posting the Q-View.  It was sort of a spare-of-the-moment thing (discussed the day before) and we invited my brother-in-law, sister-in-law and their kids over for dinner.  Not only did the ribs turn out amazing, but we were together as extended family.  The cousins love getting together and we all enjoyed good food, conversation, and fellowship.

OK, enough of that; here's the Q-View...

Just for a little fun before starting, I made a little zen garden out of my dry rub (to prepare for the patience of a long smoke):

I did 6 racks of baby backs.  Here they are all rubbed up and ready to go:

This was also my second time making my own BBQ sauce.  Well worth it, everyone loves it.

Into the smoker they go.  With 6 slabs, I had to use the smoking racks.  I keep telling my wife that I need a newer, larger smoker.

I did 3 hours of smoke with Hickory wood, and then 2 hours with Cherry wood.  After 5 hours, here they are ready to come off.

Now, in to the kitchen for cutting.

It was such a nice evening that we all eat outside in the back yard.  And after we stuffed ourselves, we started a nice back yard fire in the fire pit.  What an amazing day and evening.  I can't wait to do it all over again.

    Thanks Leo.

Big Fish: here's the big secret... It is Jeff's rub and sauce recipe. Pay the few bucks for the recipies. It's well worth it. I just use a little less black pepper.
