Hello All,

Will two racks of baby back ribs fit/lay flat on the top grate of the 18.5? My preference is not to use a rib rack, but not a deal breaker to get this unit.

Thanks

Rob

Hi Rob,

Yes they can. I have done that several times, but it is a tight fit when they are wrapped in foil. See below.

And if you add 3rd grate, then you will be able to fit 6 baby back ribs, but it will be tight fit.

Thank you so much for the pic. Its just my wife and I...hardly ever cook more than 2 racks at a time. I dont mind if I do foil its a tight fit...my preference is to cook them flat. If I get this unit... It will be my 3rd cooking toy...and really appreciate the pic to put my mind at ease!

This pic may have just sold me to get an 18.5" as my 3rd cooker!

Glad I could help Rob. Let me know if you have any other questions. I will be moving up in smoker and get an Assassin Smoker soon :)

I like to trim off a couple bones rub wrap in bacon rub again then smoke with the racks for snacks!
