I have an issue with an auger removal on my MAK 2:

The pellets in the tube took on moisture and expanded. It's been about a month since it happened by best guess. Cannot pull the motor attached to the auger out- doesn't budge. Think the only way is to use a slug and pound it out from the igniter side. . Anyone have this happen- ideas? It's inside right now drying out to hopefully relieve some pressure from the pellets. .

I'm not that familiar with those MAKs, so not too sure how to get that auger out...I'd suggest calling the company and asking for some customer support before you start banging on it.  There is surely a customer service hotline number in your owner's manual...or you could probably google it to find a number, if you don't have the manual.  I hear their customer service is very good.  They can probably give you the best advice you're likely to get...and if you tear something up pounding on it without calling them first, you might void any warranty that's in effect.

You are going to have to burn those pellets out to free that auger up. Either that or figure out how to get that housing apart.

There was a flat spot on the end of the auger that was suitable to apply a drift and pound out. No way to burn the pellets out as the auger wouldn't turn. Anyway, all good and working great now. Thanks guys for the advice!

For pellet burners.... I have found nuts and bolts in my pellet supply for my stove.... they jamb an auger pretty good...
