Now there you go for your brunch delimma. You can do pulled pork and pulled beef just make differant sauces for them and you could have 5-6 dishes too.

To me that is not a catch as I shop at Albertson's all the time to begin with . But too some that be a stumbling point while looking for a bargain . Thanks for bringing up the point .

Limit one per purchase!!! I went there yesterday after work with that in mind. So along with the brisket they had Budweiser 12 ounce 20 pack for $16.49, so I got one to go toward the 25 dollar additional purchase along with a few grocery items. When I was was checking out the cashier told me that alcoholic beverages can't be used toward the 25 additional purchase to get the brisket at 97 cents per pound. I didn't want to cause a seen, so I purchased enough grocery items to cover he additional purchase and left. That is why I buy groceries from another grocery chain where there isn't loop holes to get a deal on good meat. Just my 2 cents.

it was fine print like that which caused the death of albertsons around here, they built five or six brand new buildings and tried to break into this market a few years back, only made it a year to two and then closed the stores and sold off the properties, one local chain got right on it buying the property and moving in, doubled the size of the store on that side of town plus went from a 60 year old design to a nice open flowing design.

JDT, I'd imagine it's tough to get market share there while battling Hy-Vee. I know when I lived in KC there was Hy-Vee, Price Chopper and that was it except some small corner store type places.

Yeah, Hy Vee is king around here, Dahls is another local chain and Fareway has a select few stores here.

I flat out stopped going to Albertson's. Every time there is a decent price on meat, either there is a loop hole, or they are sold out the morning of the add. One time I was at the store at 7:30 AM the morning the add was affective, and the meat guy said they had sold out??? They never want to give out rain checks either. I would rather go to King soopers and pay 2 bucks a pound and know the guy has a selection of them that I can choose from. It's not a suprise that half the Albertsons on the front range have closed.
