Apple Jelly

    Well seems the neighbors were on the phone early this morning.....LOL I received some beautiful Honey Crisp Apples this last weekend. I ended up with 6 jars of cup & a half, 6 jars of  cups and 8 jars of 1/2 cup.


    I have to say I experimented a little with all the 1/2 cup jars. I made 2 of caramel apple jelly, 2 of apple pie jelly, and 2 caramel apple pie jelly (its my new favorite!!). By the way, that bowl of apples is in the oven now. Check the dessert section later.

    The apple pie jelly was the apple jelly plus (I make my own but this is close enough)

    AND the caramel apple pie is just the above two together.

    Extract does not have a taste, but the perfume will so fool your senses you'll swear caramel is in there.

    Wow I have got to say the Apple pie jelly was a huge hit, but the caramel apple jelly was a whole new experience. Damn that's good stuff! Its like caramel apple on a spoon, I don't even think of it as jelly. Pretty amazing stuff! It makes the jelly taste rich like its full of sweet milk caramel.

    IF anyone try's making apple jelly please try the caramel apple jelly its so easy with a totally amazing result.
