Someone locally is selling a used Globe C09 slicer... anyone have experience with this particular model or Globe slicers in general?

Thanks!

I had a Globe for 8 years at the restaurant. Never had a problem. Don't remember the model though.

Plenty of restaurants use these, and in general, all brands of slicers are pretty reliable. Keep in mind that in a restaurant or deli, they get several hours of use every day. Get something you feel safe and comfortable using. Some of the older slicers are pretty spooky.

If you are fortunate enough to find an automatic slicer, that might come in handy for hams and sausages and such. Look for one with an adjustable stroke so it's not going back and forth the entire distance if you are just slicing a salami.

Ok thanks for the feedback everyone... I will see what kind of deal I can swing on this thing.
