Another newbie

Hello from FL.  I'm Paul and I have been interested in smoking for sometime now and finally decided to do it.  We are having a going away party for my son who leaves for Army basic in January and he wants BBQ.  So I figured I would do it right for him.

You'll be seeing me around for a while as I ask questions and get things sorted out.

First off welcome to SMF there Paul. You'll really like this place for there are a bunch of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking meat. Then if you have any questions you just post them here or yu can try in chat for a faster answer. If you are really new to all of this I would recommend that you look up and take the e-course. It is free and it will also give you the basics on smoking. So with all that said now go and get something to smoke.

Welcome Paul! No better time to start smoking than to send your son off for Basic...something he'll always remember. This is the best place to "get smart" on all things Que. Start up a thread with any questions you have and you'll get almost instant feedback...great stuff! BTW, where is your son headed for Basic? Just curious.
