What a great site. I found this site a while ago and just wanted to spend some time reading before posting. I would like to thank the members for all I have learned and read off this site already. There are some very talented members posting on this site.

I am in north central MN. I have been smoking meat and fish for many years. Pretty new to the sausage making (couple years) but have slowly been putting together equipment for more and more. Cabela's is loving my business. My son is an avid deer hunter so we make plenty of venison sausage I am also new to bacon which is what I was searching for when I found this site. I plan to do a batch next week.

As for other equipment I have a home built smoker that we made several years ago. Thanks to some of the builders on this site I am revamping it to become a reverse flow system right now. Hopefully I can get pictures posted soon. I look forward to sharing information on this site.

Welcome to SMF. Glad to have you here. Cabela's is sure enjoying my business too.

I'm thinking with all of the lakes in MN, might need a MN SMF gathering next year sometime. If a get together gets planned, I want to know. Good friends, good food, a little country music (just a thought) and alot of BS !!!

Thanks for all the welcomes. We do have a couple of lakes over this way and you just never know. With all the MN people I am seeing here we just may have to put something together.

Jeff

It's also free and it will give you the basics of smoking. So after all of that you just need to go grab something to smoke and if you have any question just post them here and we will answer it quickly so you don't have any mishaps with your smoke.
