Is there a way to make burnt ends with a chuck roast? I have never done it before and want to try, but don't even know how to start. I don't want to use the whole roast for burnt ends, just some of it. Is it possible?

You can make something similar that will still be very good. Take however much chuck you want to use & cube it into burnt end sized pieces - a little under an inch. Put your favorite beef rub on them & smoke at 225 - 250* for 2 - 3 hours then put your favorite sauce on them & put them back in for several more hours till they are nice & tender. They aren't exactly the same as burnt ends but they are very good.

There is a thread on here somewhere where someone made something similar with another cut - I will see if I can find it for you...
