I went to the annual hog butcher this morning and picked up 20 lbs of fresh ground sausage, 20 lbs of thick cut chops and 15 lbs of bacon for only 138 bucks!! I think that's a really good deal and the money raised goes to local charities so it's a win win. So now I am about to separate it all to vacuum seal and make some maple breakfast links

Great deal! Maybe time to make some biscuits as well, mmmm sausage gravy

Yeah sausage gravy was the first thing I cooked. I spent the whole afternoon yesterday making some maple breakfast sausage links. I think I made about 110 of them. It took forever cause I don't have a stuffer I used my jersey gun at least I have 2 tubes for it looks like a 5lb Lem stuffer is in my future!! I liked the sausage cause it's not seasoned and I can experiment with different seasoning. I have casing left so I'm gonna make some snack sticks in a few days. I'll be sure to post pics
