I'm an old retired Navy guy with plenty of time on my hands so low and slow is perfect for me. I use a Weber 22". Tried and true. Currently residing in a little place called Imperial Beach, Ca. I can basically spit across the border into Mexico from my porch. Did 24 yrs. in the USN so I've been a little bit of everywhere, but I did 2 school hitches in Millington, (Memphis) TN. and that's where I got hooked on smoking. Corky's ribs are so awesome! I'll try to smoke nearly any good sized piece of meat, Boston Butt, Prime rib, Turkeys, etc. Don't do much ribs 'cuz I hate paying that much for so much bone waste. Looking forward to learning some new tricks and techniques and if I stumble across something that works great for me I'll be sure to share. Happy Grillin'. Mike

Hello Mike and Welcome to our addiction.  A word of warning: There is no 12 step program for this one!  Many good folk here with a load of experience that they are more than willing to share.  If you have specific questions just start a thread and someone with experience will be along soon to offer advice.  All info you can provide us with such as smoker type, location and so on will help us answer any questions you may have, and pictures help a bunch.  Spend some time doing some research on the forums, tons of advice and recipes already available there.  We look forward to your contributions.  Have fun.  Good luck.  Keep Smokin!

Hello Mike, and welcome from East Texas. Usually when I do ribs I go to Sam's and get the 3 rack pack of Baby back, or wait till our Local grocery store runs Saint Louis or Med Spare's on sale. (the BB at Sam;s are always pretty meaty. I also get my Brisket and pork shoulders there .  Glad you joined up, Thank's for your service.
