I have been thinking of a way to make my smoker height adjustable. I know Myron does it on his but didnt really look closely on how he did it when I was around his cookers. I was thinking about welding a 1" steel pipe to the top center of the caster plate. This pipe would slide inside a female/female standoff which would have a large bolt sticking out the stop. When you cranked on the bolt it would push the pip attached to the wheel further out of the standoff. The standoff would be welded to the wheel frame. What do you guys think?

I hope it will work. The only thing I am having trouble with is finding 1" diameter pipe that is internally threaded. Anyone know where I can get that?

Its a fridge conversion. I actually decided to do levelers thar are not attached to casters but the frame. They will be heavy duty jack screws that will be welded to the frame and I can raise it off ground if need to. Will be controlled with drill. Still in plannin process.
