Hello.
A year ago I built a reverse flow smoker. I'm not planning to add a warming box over the fire box. I've seen several methods of heat and some allow smoke into the box. I'd like to be able to use the box to smoke as well so now I'm left with design. I saw a meadow creek smoker last week in person and it used a "direct smoke" option that was an opening and damper on the top of the fire box directly into the warmer, then I look at others that have a damper and opening into the cook chamber. I'm looking for opinions on the 2 options.
