Add another mini to the mix!

    Doing my first burn now.  So far just put it together and am testing my ability to make a charcoal fire.  I had a poor $90 lowes gas grill for the past 8 years that I had to fight to do any decent grilling on and decided it was time to do it right and stuck it out by the curb. Ordered the parts to build my mini thanks to stumbling on SMF.   Pretty windy today, and SWMBO wants to go out tonight so the 10lbs of meat from costco will survive another day.  I plan on trying some fatties/chicken until I get it dialed in and smoke some real meat!

    Can it be this easy really???  I let it settle and its held steady at 250.  My old gas grill would hold 250 with the top open and propane turned all the way down; but closing the lid it would jump to 350-400, so I would play the open/close/crack game to keep it in the 200s.  I cant wait to get some meat on here! 

    Its been quite awhile since I've had a T-bone cooked over charcoal, enjoy!  Wont be too long and I can join ya and toss some on mine.

    Yep it's that easy.

    These bones will be smoked low and slow and then seared off on the coals. One if the best features of the mini!
