Can I smoke these and perserve for say tomorrow?
It doesn't work at my house.
I have trouble getting them off the patio before they all disappear?
Good luck and good smoking.
sure i always warm up in the toaster oven any that happen to get left over but look out if you got people over there will not be many left over!
Sure. They usually don't last that long around here either, but they do reheat just fine. Microwave or toaster oven. They are also OK cold. Enjoy!
I once had some leftover ABT's only because I made nearly 50 of them LOL - heated in the oven
If I ever have any leftover I like to reheat in the oven they just look better then nuking them
I think you'll be happier with them if you serve to your guests right off the smoker. The bacon will be "crisper" and I just find they taste better. They are delicious the next day but they do in my opinon taste different.
This was more of a test batch. I posted a pic how long does it normally take for those to go up?
Newbies to the forum have to have their first couple of pic posts approved by the Mods, After a while they will remove the restriction and your pics will post immediately.
right about now,, 11:30pm,, waiting for my 7# shoulder to finish,, those are looking damn tasty
I got my first all night brisket going. Going to be a long night
Here's to ya . I need to go to bed, got up at 4:30am but ya know,, it just smells so good sitting by the smoker. I have been milking it,, got almost 2 beers still left and I see smoke coming from MES when I shine flashlight on it. I am not gonna sleep till it hits 200f internal and gets at least 30 mins rest time. Then if I can keep eyes open will post a Q view. I want this sucker so tender that I when I shout its DONE, it falls apart, no need to shred Am trying my damnest to leave it alone for an hour at a time butt too dang tired now. Guess I do have patience after all.
Smoking can be a hard job....good luck !
Hang in there Larry!
That's what my wife does. Around 15 to 20 minutes. Still edible, but not as good of course.
I only see one problem with those ABTs - there aren't enough of them!
I often make a ton of them so there will be left overs and they so reheat nicely. If you are pressed for time go for it and make them ahead - no shame in it.
