Would it be wise for me to order a spare set of replacement probes while I'm placing my order?

And speaking of replacement probes, it look's like there are 3 versions available... Food, Smoker, and Hybrid. I can't seem to find a description of the Hybrid probe, can someone enlighten me?

Thank's in advance

Thank's for the quick reply FWI

So, should I order 1 of each as back-up's (if I order 2 or more the price drops from $17 ea. down to $14 ea.)... or maybe just get 2 of the Hybrid's and save them for back-up's?

Well, I went ahead and placed my (first) order through A-MAZE-N... the current special of 10% off plus free shipping made the deal too tempting to hold off any longer

After a bit of strategic begging, I convinced my wife to allow me add a few other item's to the order, so aside from the ET-732 and (1) each of the replacement probe's, I also ordered up the "Package #3", an "18" tube", 10#'s of the Pitmaster's choice pellet's, and 5# of Pecan pellet's!

You'll be happy when you need the replacement probes. I go through about a set a year right now. I always no mine are bad when the output is all "L's" on the screen.

I didn't order an extra set of probes but now being so dependent on my ET 732 I think it's a wise idea, also agree with the heat shrink super easy to do and for .99 cheap protection.

Just some heat shrink tubing that will fit that that wire well...  I had some yellow that worked.

Seal it right where the wire goes into the probe... Dab some rtv sealant on first helps also.

Another nice feature regarding the replacement probes for other's who may be interested:

I did not fully realize at the time I placed the order, but the probe's that are included with the thermometer are only about 3' long. The replacement probe's are closer to 6' long (I just measured 1 of them @ 78" !), which is nice for allowing you to set up the transmitter safely away from the heat of the smoker or grill

I just picked up some shrink tubing and high temp silicon so I can get them sealed up today...
