Took a ride up through Lancaster PA yesterday to look at a BGE and passed no less then 3 roadside chicken cookers. There is something about the smell of chicken cooking out in the open... so I just had to fire up the Egg today and do some.
Going raised direct using the adjustable rig.
RO lump with apple
Light dusting of Yardbird rub.

Played some ball with the pup while waiting for the Egg to come to temp...

The girl can jump

See ya in a couple of hours....

That is a fit dog...Looks like he has some good muscle mass in his shoulders...good times and good luck on the smoke !

Thanks Guys - yeah - she is a good pup and she is fit. She's an almost 3 year old, 60 pounds, American Lab, all muscle. If there is a ball in the area she has pinpoint focus.

Chicken's gonna be great Elly!

Pup reminds me of my old "Shadow", we lost 3 years ago (12 1/2 years old). Great dogs, those Labs.

Great looking yardbirds. I had the same dog as a teenager, called him Koni, but should have been Shotgun as he rode Shotgun everywhere.

Thanks guys - I appreciate the feedback.
No - I opted not to get the Egg... really would like another but don't really need another.

Those birds look fantastic! I love doing whole chickens. We usually get three meals out of one before we have to boil it down for soup and or stock!
