Hey all
Jut thought I would throw out an option for some that may not have found their perfect rub yet. I tried Grill Mates Applewood Rub on some pork loin that I smoked...as well as on a couple of chickens. It is really good. It has some sweet, a bit of heat and in just the right proportions. I know most folks make their own rub....I do too, but I was running low on ingredients and cash....so I tried this for $3. I was way impressed!! I am using it on 2 racks of baby backs....and burning a mix of apple and pecan wood. Hoping for the best!!!

$3 is a great price for that little container.  Their Sweet n Smoky is good too. At $3 I'd stock up for when I don't want to make my own.

For some reason this year my local grocer hasn't put the Grill Mates on sale a single time.  Even Amazon raised their prices.  Locally it is priced $4.59-$4.89 for that little container, too rich for me to justify the purchase, but I used them quite a bit last year.

I just picked it up at my local Walmart. They have about 7 or 8 flavors to choose from....but this one sounded good for lighter flesh meats. I ended up going back and buying all they had in case I couldn't find it again. I have 11 left! My 6 year old HATES chicken....but with this stuff....she asked for 3rds!!

I really like Grill Mates applewood rub on pork ribs. Then use pecan and apple wood for smoke!  Good that you found something off the shelf that you like!
