Wow!! This place is awesome.  Got an early Fathers Day gift last night.  A new MES.  I am new to this whole way of life, but I think I am all ready addicted.  I haven't even fired up the smoker yet.  I don't know what to start with.  I have a whole freezer full of things I want to try.  Thanks for letting me be here and look forward to everyone's experience and knowledge.  Just one question,  What is a ABT?

  and there is a whole section dedicated to them. You start with a jalapeno pepper and go from there.Have fun and happy smoking

Thanks for joining us the SMF, and congrats on the new MES. An ABT is basically a fresh jalapeno that is stuffed with cheese and other goodies.Sometime the pepper is sliced lengthwise to pile on the goodies. ABT stands for Atom Buffalo Turd. It's all good my friend.

  Once you learn how the mes works it is as easy as cooking in your oven.

First off welcome Waylon to SMF. You'll like it here cause there are alot of really good folks that would just love to help you with anything to do with smoking. Now we like having new folks here to give a new prospective on some of the ways we do things around here. Now if you are really new then I would suggest that you sign up fir the 5-day E-course it free and it will give you the basics on smoking and a few recipes too. Here's a link to it:

Now the next thing you have to do is run out and get something to smoke.
