LOL! I couldn't resist that title. Well, here it is. My very first smoked rack of ribs. I've got two butts still on, can't wait for them. I kept the dry rub simple and used a bbq sauce that's made by a local guy. I just tented them and can't wait to taste. I'm not expecting a whole lot since it's my first time.

Good looking rack.

I would have truly loved to have seen the smoke ring but will cut you some slack this time, newbie.

... Maybe I should lurk around this awesome website and find smoke rings.

Great job for first time...how long did you smoke them?

If you look you'll see a darker redish color from the outside in....this is the smoke ring...usually with ribs I end up with about a 1/4" to 3/8" all around.
With Butts I usually get about 3/4" to 1".

Those look delicious!

I don't get a smoke ring using electric, but I've been told that I could put some charcoal in there to achieve that if I wanted to.

Yeah, I'm curious about how you cooked them, too. Did you use the 3-2-1 method? What kind of wood did you use?

Cheryl,My mouth is watering it has an awesome smoke ring and looks extremely juicy...
Good job for your first time, certainly earned points

Boy, you guys sure know how to make a girl feel welcome! Thanks! And to MM - I did use the 3-2-1 method and I used hickory and pecan wood.

I would also have to say Nice Rack for sure there squirrel.
