LOL! I couldn't resist that title. Well, here it is. My very first smoked rack of ribs. I've got two butts still on, can't wait for them. I kept the dry rub simple and used a bbq sauce that's made by a local guy. I just tented them and can't wait to taste. I'm not expecting a whole lot since it's my first time.

I didn't know I should do that...[IMG] I don't really know what I'm looking for here though - double [IMG][IMG]... Maybe I should lurk around this awesome website and find smoke rings.

You have the smoke ring going on, not a real heavy one but I can see it. Nice job for your first rack! [IMG]

Great job for first time...how long did you smoke them?

If you look you'll see a darker redish color from the outside in....this is the smoke ring...usually with ribs I end up with about a 1/4" to 3/8" all around.
With Butts I usually get about 3/4" to 1".

    Those look delicious!

I don't get a smoke ring using electric, but I've been told that I could put some charcoal in there to achieve that if I wanted to.

Yeah, I'm curious about how you cooked them, too. Did you use the 3-2-1 method? What kind of wood did you use?

Boy, you guys sure know how to make a girl feel welcome! Thanks! And to MM - I did use the 3-2-1 method and I used hickory and pecan wood.
