A locked thread.... I've never seen that before. What's that all about?

A locked thread.... I've never seen that before. What's that all about? Is that a new feature on this site or have I just never noticed it before. Who locks it and why? I don't have any problem with it. Just never seen if before and I'm curious.

I do not know what thread you are talking about but i believe it takes am ADMIN to lock a thread.

Usually because it has go off the original subject, as had bad comments sent to ADMIN etc. It is a way stop it from getting out of hand.

NExt ADMIN along will explain it further..

Moderators and Administrators can lock threads and there are various reasons we might lock one. If you have a question about a locked thread or why it was locked to can PM a Mod or Admin and they can tell you why it was locked.

It was a thread by BBally about taking firewood through California. It's not a problem. I had just lever seen a locked thread before.

I made a somewhat politically sensitive comment in that thread, and it was locked.

Whether my comment was the cause, I don't know.  I hope not. I did not intend to be inflammatory, only to state the facts and history as I know them.
